His Holiness Shri Jayendra Sarasvati Shankaracharya Swamigal, 69th
Acharya of the Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham, visited Nerur, on the banks of
the Kaveri near Karur, Tamil Nadu. He had darshan of the Adhishthanam
of Shri Sadashiva Brahmendra, the well known yogishvara and poetic
composer.

Shri Sadashiva Brahmendra is reputed to have lived over 150
years from about 1550 to 1710. He was the disciple of the 57th Acharya
of the Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham, Shri Paramashivendra Sarasvati II,
whose adhishthanam is at Tiruvengadu, near Poompuhar, Tamil Nadu.
